Engines Howo Sinotruck

SINOTRUK is the manufacturer of the first heavy truck in China, and it is also the place where the first high-speed heavy-duty diesel engine was born in China. SINOTRUK invested more than 8 billion yuan in the construction of two engine factories in Hangzhou and Jinan, and successfully introduced an international top production system.

In 1983, SINOTRUK introduced the Steyr WD615 series diesel engine, which represents the world’s most advanced diesel engine technology. SINOTRUK is the sole legal owner of Steyr intellectual property in China.

Sinotruk’s engines are represented by a numerous model range of powerful, durable, economical, unpretentious diesel or gas power plants designed to power the executive systems of light or wheeled vehicles, ships, ship generator sets, construction equipment (loaders, bulldozers, excavators, etc.), and also electric generators.

A typical Sinotruk internal combustion engine has a robust cast casing with the necessary fixtures for a quick and reliable installation in the carrier compartment. The largest number of models, as a rule, are inline six-cylinder engines with water cooling, intercooler and high pressure fuel system. For example, the working volume of an automobile gas engine of the WT615 series is 9,726 liters. Such engines are produced with natural supercharging, turbocharging, turbocharging and intermediate cooling. The universal series WD615 is made thanks to joint efforts with the famous English company Ricardo. The high pressure fuel system from the Japanese manufacturer Denso has been introduced in this series. As an option for these engines, mountain brakes of the American company Jacobs can be used. Each model is provided with a spare parts kit and a list of operational documentation.
